Hey guys/girls,
I am shadowing a DO (also a professor at MSUCOM) tomorrow, it is my second/last time shadowing this doctor. I shadowed him 3 months ago, and I asked him a week ago if I could shadow him again and he barely fit me in his schedule.
The main reason I am doing this is because i really want a LOR from him. How do I go about asking him? Should I just mention it before I leave? or what? and how?
Also what kinds of questions would make me seem really interested in Osteopathy? because I really am.

Thank you everybody

Honestly, just be up front with him. Tell him about your interest in DO school, ask if he would feel comfortable writing you a recommendation, or if he can refer you to someone who has more shadowing availability.

What he said. I shadowed an MSU COM 'assistant prof' as well and he was very nice about it when I asked. I think most people that allow you to shadow them should just intuitively know that they will be asked for a letter. Granted, it may not be a great letter since they are busy, it is needed for many DO schools. May I ask where you are shadowing?

I am just kidding. I hated today's match, granted Madrid was phenomenal and actually played some reasonably attractive football, I am a huge fan of the football culture that Barcelona has created. As a sports fan, you always have to enjoy them because they instill a proper team mentality.

Agreed, it was a legitimate loss, but frustrating nonetheless.
