So under the chances section on the MD side there is a spreadsheet where you enter your MCAT GPA and it tells you good schools to apply to etc. Is there anything like that for DO schools? Did a quick search didnt see anything. THanks

Don't think so. The powerpoint for the allopathic schools is based upon the MSAR book for allopathic schools which gives ranges of GPA and mcat scores of students. The DO version doesn't actually give those ranges, so there is no data to base a powerpoint off of.

well im assuming you meant spreadsheet and not powerpoint but i appreciate your quick reply. I am suprised that no one has created one with at least the averages and stuff from the princeton review or something with all the averages. I guess i could make a rough one myself. THanks again

Well I've posted the stats from the Princeton Review book. It's only partial and it definitely has some inaccuracies for other info, so I'd take it with salt, anyway. Regardless, the data just seems lacking for an analogous plug and chug formula, as it doesn't give ranges of accepted students. Plus, the schools basically range from 24-26, 3.3.-3.6, barring a couple of schools with a higher MCAT average. Also, there are only around 30 schools, so it's really not too daunting of a task to figure out where your stats match. I think location, clinical rotations, cost, and age are bigger factors for choosing DO schools, IMO.
