Hi,
I failed my COMLEX PE before apps went out and all programs saw the failing score. I passed my retake last week and I want to know how can I un-do the damage this has had? Should I manually draft a letter to programs in my home state/Cali that have not interviewed me and tell them that I passed my retake and I don't know what happened the first time? I don't want to sound like i'm selling myself short, but after interviewing in the snow, I can't leave my beloved west coast/southwest. I cannot live in the snow.
I really want to match in California but even interviewing and matching in NV or AZ or UT even Texas is fine with me. I've only had 2 interviews in California.
I just want to rectify the devastating impact the failing score has had on my career. Because I honestly have no idea how I failed when I had been passing 2 years of OSCE's and doing wonderful on the humanistic domain. To be honest, I probably had less time to prepare for my retake and didn't even do much yet I passed the second time around. Perhaps, it has to be with more familiarity of the area. I mean come on you have has take a 7 hour long exam in rural pennsylvania when we all live in California/west coast? But I don't even think that had much to do with it.
Thanks for any help or input.
