I was having a discussion with a friend of mine who is a MD student and the issue of laboratory time came up. Do D.O.'s spend less time in the lab than MD students, more, or the same?
I would imagine it is around the same. Osteo and Allo schools will both vary in the amount of time that is spent on each topic. By lab time do you mean Anatomy, histology. You could probably call OMT lab time. Just tell your friend you found out that DO students learn anatomy out of a coloring book. To converse over this minutia is so premed. Sorry I had to say it.
Hello,
Thanks for the reply. He had no bad intents during our discussion. It was more a curiosity. We weren't comparing who is "better." It was just a passing curiosity.
