Hi guys. I participated in many blood drives and various 5k run for cancer and disease awareness. I was just wondering if there is a spot on the application for me to include them or if I should even mention it on my app. My mentor told me that it was good to include them but I want to know what you guys think? Thanks.

If you are saying you donated blood, I would not mention it on the application.

If you helped organize/set up blood drives and/or were a part of a group involved in the logistics of setting up races that resulted in raising funds for charitable organizations, then the activity has a place on the application. What were your roles exactly?

Oh I was more of talking about donating blood and running the 5k run. But I was also a volunteer to set up blood drives and assist people to their stations.

Donating blood and running in charity runs are probably not enough to warrant spaces of their own on the AAMCAS application. An actual organizational role in activities such as these would be more of a talking point, I'd say.
