maybe this thread can be a compilation of questions for those who have recently taken step 1. ie brodman numbers, pathway, etc. to give us a good run down of minutia to study...or not.
ok...
brodman numbers-no
pathways for biochem-?
PECAM/ ICAM for path-?
mossy fibers/climbing fibers-?

Actually they do ask about pathways for biochemestry. I remember a question where they'd give you the urea cycle path, and what you needed to do was to indicate where the ammonia enters the path, but only giving you two clues, and the rest were a, b ,c, d, e, etc.
I didn't have any question about brodman areas, those are not as important as an answer, but you need to know them to answer the question, anyway.

I got lucky -- not a single biochem question on my Step 1. This was an area I was willing to sacrifice anyway so I limited my studying to the "most commons" and the rate-limiting steps using the Buzzwords book.

Broca's and Wernicke's are worth knowing for the third year. Not even your neuro attending may know the other ones. 😛

When you say you had no Biochem, do you mean you had no classical biochem questions? I find it hard to believe you had no Vitamin or receptor questions at the least. You must have seen something on hyperlipidemias?

There were biochem questions on his test. The subject is extremely broad and covers more than just pathways
