So which MD school grants the degree?

(Incidentally, there are a lot of legitimate reasons to want to graduate from an ACGME accredited residency as a DO, if not hold an actual MD degree. Does the term "Rocky Vista University" ring a bell?)

There was actually a thread about this exact site a few weeks ago on the boards. Please, don't let it bother you. The basic conclusion was that the process (through this site at least) is borderline illegal, and if anyone ever finds out that you went through it ... you're creditability is gone. What it is (from what the other thread said) is that you complete like some extra classes err something through a Carib school ... it's a complete scam. I don't know why anyone would be ashamed of their DO, but I really think anyone (who wants to be a legit doctor) goes through these types of programs.

yeah, their wording is a dead giveaway it's a scam. they basically tell you that since you didnt make it to the MORE competitive MD schools in college, we will give you the oppurtunity to supplement your DO and be an MD, which will be great for you professionally, in terms of residency or what not. and you can do all of this in less than a month! wow!

yeah, i'm sure a backdoor MD from a noname school in the carrib will be great for me professionally instead of a U.S accredited D.O school.

Overall SDN has more benefits than detriments, but there ARE times I wonder what the mods/admins are thinking.

I've voiced my opinion very recently about the whole MD vs. DO thing but was poo-pooed in a private message.
