Do Virtual Labs Count?

Hi,

I'm applying on AMCAS at the moment, and I had an online biochemistry course which included online laboratory simulators. These simulators involved going through experiments, answering questions, and being tested at the end. The labs counted towards my mark. On AMCAS, should I select this course as having both lectures and lab?

Thanks
Lol virtual labs :hilarious: The answer is simple my friend, do you get two seperate grades for Biochemistry (i.e. Biochemistry and Biochemistry Lab)? Or do you only get one grade (I.e. Biochemistry)? That’s your answer. Your “transcript” on AMCAS is supposed to match your official school transcripts

I'm not sure what mean about the separate grades. I'm in a Canadian university, so it may be a little different for you, but I do not have any lab courses (eg, orgo) with separate lab grades.

Yes.

They count for AMCAS. A better question is whether it will "count" to cover an entry requirement for an individual med school. If a Biochem lab isn't required (per MSAR or website) then you should be fine.
