Do we get a certificate after GPR training?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I believe most give you some sort of certicate for you to hang up. However, I don't think it has much of an impact in an office setting.

Hey guys,

Do we get a certificate after one year GPR training?

No. There's no Certificate for GPR like there is Certificate in Endodontics or Certificate in Prosthodontics.

You'll probably get a piece of paper from your program, but it doesn't mean anything nationally or even state-wise

You can buy a $200 frame for it. It'll look pretty.

Hey, that's what my mentor did... He framed his AEGD certificate along with his dental school awards. Then again, he has a big ego.

You will need your GPR certificate to get a license in NY. You can be licensed in some other states with no board exam with this certificate. You will also need it if you want hospital privileges at most institutions. You may also need it if you ever want to be a GPR director (required). Not as useless as you may think.
