Do we include anything from high school in the application? Any EC's? Like student government, sports, clubs, theater?

No...unless it was shadowing (has to be serious)...

Are you living in the past? 😎

Only if you did some of your college while in high school. It should be something recent.

I would document evidence of manual dexterity, as well as dental-related jobs you might've had. But that's about as far as I'd go.

thanks guys. I was just thinking about leadership roles and stuff..it's easy to think of things from high school.

The conventional advice is probably to leave out high school info, but keep in mind that it is not the steadfast rule...and putting high school info isn't going to totally rule you out.

I put my rank (1/450) and ASB president.

Just FYI, if you are still leaning towards including high school info. Hope this info helps.

they want to know that you did bigger and better things since leaving high school. Congrats on your stellar ranking.

i would say putting high school items is a no, unless it is something big like ASB pres. or eagle scout or saved a bus full of children from falling over a cliff.

I put a couple of my high school ECs on my app (varsity football and youth rep for my church). Sure its probably not that important and the admissions committee may not care but it helps them learn a little bit more about you as a person. It certainly didn't hurt my application.

Doc tooth..I don't understand your response. maybe I am misreading it. I know what I was asking for. Some of us are proud of ECs we accomplished in HS and it's not like it was 10 yrs ago. It's a fair question.
