Prophase I has 5 steps which I never really bothered to memorize: leptotene, zygotene, pachytene, diplotene, diakinesis.
Are the steps and their descriptions pertinent to the DAT, or is it just superfluous information?
Not sure if anyone has ever encountered a question this in depth..

I honestly don't think you need to know them. There were many questions on my DAT regarding mitosis and meiosis but none of them went THAT in depth.

Are talking about leptotene, zygotene, pachytene, diplotene, and diakinesis? Absolutely not.
