Do y'all think Sociology 101 and Psych 101 are enough?

Does anyone know if the topics covered on the new MCAT about sociology and psych are taught in the standard 101 class? Unfortunately I already have a super busy course load from my major and I don't think I can take any higher levels aside from 101 for these topics.

The majority of them should be, yes.

They are also relatively easy to self-learn. The material is more psych than soc, so if you are in a time/credit shortage I would just take psych.

There are topics in psychology that I feel go beyond 101, but you will probably get at least a decent exposure to topics if you take only that class. I still believe that having more classes, especially in psychology, is better because basic concepts are repeated and you acquire more knowledge about a subject rather than skimming over it in a single chapter. For example, there are many concepts I have noticed that are cognitive psychology concepts. Taking cognitive and health psychology may be helpful to take for those who still have time.

If you don't have time, definitely take psychology 101 if you can't take both classes and knuckle down on the concepts. Many of them seem like they are common sense, but do not let that fool you into thinking that you can just take the exam and figure out answers through reasoning alone. Many of them aren't. For example, you may believe that memory declines as you grow older. Is this true? No, not necessarily.

Also, a basic understanding of statistics may be required for interpreting passages in this section. Behavioral scientists love statistics.
