...the schools you've applied to just to check on the status of your app. materials if your status is "under review" on aadsas? It seems like a lot people mention they have called their schools to check in, but I haven't done so. Thoughts??

generally schools will contact you if there is something missing and probably wouldnt place your application "under review". most schools wont review incomplete applications. however, if you have reason to believe that something is missing from your application then it cant hurt to check.

I would disagree with the statement that most schools will contact you if something is missing, Neither of 2 of my schools (where stuff was missing) contacted me. They don't have to even look at my file until its done and if it isn't done, they won't look at it.

I recommend calling/emailing each school to confirm that your application is complete. Once you KNOW that all schools have all of your info, then you don't have to keep contacting them- just have to wait 🙂

i agree, i've heard of several students not knowing their apps were incomplete for weeks before they called & checked themselves. it can't hurt.

One school didn't receive my application fee, but as it turns out, it was under an incorrect spelling of my last name. I/they wouldn't have known this if I hadn't called.

What did you guys do about schools that do not pick up? do you leave a mesasge asking for feedback about the completion status of your application? I never leave msgs esp. when schools say don't contact us again in their voicemail but I still would like to know, any suggestions please? 🙂

I haven't had that problem, but I wouldn't leave a message. You want to talk to someone live, and the chances are slim that they will call you back. If you have the right number, someone should pick up during the school's normal business hours. Otherwise you could try emailing them.

i left a message at UKentucky and they called me back. just depends on the school. but yeah, i'd agree it's much better to hold out & talk to a real person.
