I consistently get around an 80% on the sets of questions/passages. I think that translates to around a 12-13, but that is their rough estimate. Do you think their passages are representative of the real thing?

No. They are too hard. If you are getting 80% in TBR bio, I can assure you that you will destroy the MCAT bio.

I agree. AAMC passages seem to require less knowledge than TBR passages, but AAMC passages sometimes have tricky charts or diagrams you'll have to figure out. You'll notice that on the practice tests.

It varies but IMO it is on par or slightly harder.

There are some questions that ask for ridiculous levels of background information (like pick the structure of oxytocin or name which fatty acid this is).. the MCAT won't do that.

But.. their passages and the critical thinking questions are pretty on the spot.

80% should be great though.. definitely should be able to do 12+ on the real thing.

Yes, they are representative. The amount of memorization required is a little higher than necessary, but otherwise the difficulty and complexity of the passages and questions is the same.

I was getting 80-90% and I only got an 11 on BS.

I'd wager that you saw higher scores than an 11 often on your practice tests though...

or were you weak on a subject that was unluckily heavily tested? orgo?

Similar to the OP's question, are the passages in TBR Bio still representative of what you can see on the current MCAT since I have seen several people who have taken it recently state that Bio is now experimental heavy?

This is an exaggeration (though perhaps we have different opinions of "destroy", mine would be 13+). They are reasonably representative, though.
