I'm a big fan of cinema and actors and, in watching Inside the Actor's Studio this evening, I think that the Bernard Pivot questionnaire at the end of the interviews would be a perfect "cool down" to a medical school interview, as well as a neat response to the "Do you have any questions for me?" final question. Think about it, and if the timing is right, I'd go for it:

1. What is your favorite word?
2. What is your least favorite word?
3. What turns you on and excites you?
4. What turns you off?
5. What sound or noise do you love?
6. What sound or noise do you hate?
7. What is your favorite curse word?
8. What profession other than yours would you like to attempt?
9. What profession other than yours would you not want to attempt?
10. If Heaven really exists, what would you want to hear God say to you at the Pearly Gates?

The best, ever. I'll make sure to have that in mind for residency interivews.

If you go with those questions to your interviewer you might as well close with:

11. How can I approve my application for the next cycle?

:meanie:

Agreed. You should be asking questions about the school that show your interest or that show you've actually put thought into attending the school. If your interviewer works or does research in a certain field, you might be able to ask questions related to that field... but this is your opportunity to find out about the school, use it.

1. What is your name?
2. What is your quest?
3. What is the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow?

make sure you clarify if you mean an African or European swallow.

^ I would love to see the interviewer's facial expression after being asked this question.

🤣 You would have to pull off a very great Bernard Pivot impersonation to make it work in your favor! Bust out the flashcards when asking the questions, too. ;P
