Do you have to retake a C- for MD?

Got a C- in a bio course last year (fresh year), and I'm wondering if I have to retake it? I know that MD schools dont look at retaken classes and what you got in them, but I fear that some schools won't even accept that C-....

I would retake the class and strive to do better. Try to identify the reasons why you did not get that A, and come up with a plan to do better. Maybe you need a change of teacher, different study habits for that particular class, take the class at a different time during the day, or so one.

As the person above me said. Retake the class. BTW MD schools look at retake classes. They however unlike DO schools do not replace retaken grades for older grades. For example if you take the same class twice and score a C- and then an A for MD they will see that you satisfied the requirement but the grades will both remain. For DO the A will replace the C- and the the C- will basically disappear.

I would call the schools that you are interested in and see whether the minus is a big deal or not. A C- is less than a straight C, and most require the C.

well im only a sophomore right now, so idk

if anything i could probably take it my jnr yr.

Yes it'll satisfy the requirement as long as you on the second try get a C or higher.
