I hated premeds

I adore my classmates.

God I love occupational bottlenecks.

I keep more friends outside of pre-med than within, mostly because I know a bunch of them cheat in my school 😱

That being said, I adopted a Sith mentality when it came to pre-med friends: no more than two can exist hahaha

3 of my 5 roommates are pre-med and they are some of the most genuine, nice, hilarious people you will meet. That being said, a large majority of pre-meds will annoy you until you actually get to know them. I think it's just sort of a "you're my competition, thus I must shun you" mentality that causes disdainful attitudes.

Many premeds come off as snobs. Maybe becasue many come from privileged backgrounds, maybe because they think taking organic chem makes them hot ****, I don't know. I think a lot of them just need to come back down to Earth once in a while.

None of my good friends are premeds.

I completely agree. I also think it has to do with what school you go to. Most of my closest friends are pre med, pre pharm, or other health professions. They are the most down to earth people I've ever met and I think this has to do with us being from a not well recognized public university. We are all "underdogs" working hard to get to where we need to be. Of course, we have those snobs, but many people here are really chill.
