Or is it more about being competitive for the job? On that note, could an EP with a Peds EM fellowship do pediatric CC?

I would doubt any hospital would credential you to work in their ICU without some fellowship/certification. Hell, I know of some hospitals that won't even accept the European boards that EM docs used to take.
