Now I'm practicing step 2 cs.
I try to review all systems for every patient, so that I don't miss anything, but I always run out of time.
Then I try to think about differential diagnosis first, and only ask relevent questions for each differential without reviewing all systems. But I usually find that I can't remember all the differentials for a chief complaint. Furthermore, I also missed some questions listed on FA that I think is not relevant to differentials.
What is your approach to history taking?

I tend to focus on the presenting complaint and ask all the associated systemic enquiry questions to that presenting complaint then at the end just skim through the rest of the systems.
