Do you take notes while studyng for biology section?

My pcat is in August and I just opened up the Kaplan book for the biology section..and boy does it have to much information.

I started taking notes while studying for the bio section but then I realized that it was to time-consuming, so now I'm highlighting and the important stuff and memorizing through just looking at the material.

Do you guys have any other methods to tackle this section?

Depending on how comfortable you are with your Bio knowledge, I would read through it all and take highlight like you are, but also take notes on the unfimiliar things that you think are important and might make good testing questions to review after you have finished the review book. Go back and brush up on those things, then do a few overall reviews again.
