Do you think DO's make less $$ than MD's?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
DrMOM, are you a DO or seeking to be a DO?

As I understand it, DOs have the opportunity to make more than MDs if they incorporate OMM in their practice. If DOs did make less, I would be an MD.

Yes, this is true. Most insurance companies and medicare do reimburse for OMM/OMT. Moreover, you can do cash fee for service and really make a lot of dough. A famiy doc who uses OMM/OMT and bills correctly can expect to make $25,000 -$50,000 more per year than the MD family doc. You may work a few more hours a week, say 5 or so, but that is a pretty big payoff the bottom line is that docs who sell things in the office, have a lab in the office, do procedures in the office, will make more $$$.
