I was at my vandy interview, and mine was the last one of the day :meanie: . After about 10-15 minutes of asking questions about myself, he asks if I had any questions about the school. Since, I had been around all day, all of my questions were already answered (i told him this) and so I only asked him a couple (mainly about the advisors role in student life). Thus, the interview only lasted about 20-25 minutes. Did I make a serious mistake in not asking more questions to extend the interview? Other interviewees said their interviews lasted about an hour (different interviewers). Keep in mind that the secretary said that my interviewer rarely goes past 30 min because he is super busy.

What do you guys think? Do you think the interview was way too short for a good recommendation on his part? :scared:

no. relax. you were honest and straightforward. these aren't bad things.

I wouldn't worry. I've said that at all of my interviews and they didn't seem to react negatively. In fact, they seemed relieved that they didn't have to answer my silly questions that I could find out elsewhere during the interview day. I had questions that med students could answer better than faculty anyway...

Mine was short (I wouldn't be surprised if we had the same interviewer), and I was worried about it too...

But I think it's just a style of some interviewers - they have a couple of specific questions, and that's all. I don't think it's a negative....

My UChicago interviewer didn't even ask me any questions...maybe one...

We just talked about the school and that was it.

I had a cardiologist. I am glad you guys had similiar experiences. Still for spending $200 or so for travel and hotel just for a 25 minute interview kind of sucks. How about you guys?
