Is it okay that I uploaded a post-interview thank-you letter to my secondary portal?

I just had my first interview yesterday, where I was interviewed by one staff member and one physician. I kinda assumed sending a thank you letter would come off as permissive, and they probably gave a recommendation minutes following the interview. However, I wrote a general thank-you with a small section specifically thanking the two interviewers and uploaded it to the secondary portal documents under "Other."

Was this what I was supposed to do? Should I have also sent it to the interviewers (only one of them had an email I could find online)? Should I have emailed the letter to the admissions email?

There's nothing you can do about it now.

Follow the instructions they give you during the interview day in the future. Write it down on a notepad so you do not risk forgetting the specifics. A thank you note in general is a polite, courteous thing to do. It does not make or break a medical school application in most circumstances.
