Do you think Uptodate is good resource for background knowledge for internal medicine resident? As compared to standard textbook like harrison?

I suggest as a resident on rounds you carry the latest hard back copy of Harrison's with you for easy access.

I find that Harrison's is better for a relaxing Sunday afternoon read on the beach whereas UpToDate is ideal for a romantic evening with the lady.

In all seriousness, you can get pretty much everything you need from UpToDate. Harrison's is fine too though if you prefer the layout or style.
