Do you usually get a response to a thank-you note?

Hey guys, have you gotten responses from your interviewers to those little thank you emails? I've written about 6, but only 1 response, saying "it was easy to interview you b/c you're a great applicant..." I'm sure they're all busy people so they probably don't respond to many of these. I'm still curious though. Thanks!

I thought that the standard practice is to end correspondence with a Thank You card, I mean that's why they don't sell You're Welcome cards. Any response you get is a bonus if you ask me. The only response to a Thank You card i've sent was after I was accepted.

yeah, that makes sense...altho i'm just kind of just praying that's true at this point

The only time I got a response from a thank you (email, in this case) I also got rejected forthwith. In general the thank you ends the correspondence.

I never write replies to letters. I only ever feel like doing it when I get really nice thank you notes, and that's only happened once. Maybe I should get a form-like you're welcome letter I can use to respond to those form-like thank you letters I get. Nah, too much work.

just one of all of mine from columbia who supposedly likes to write back to people.
