Hello everyone !

I have a question and was hoping someone can help answer it.

I have recently been accepted to my desired dental school, but before that I was waitlisted on another. Now that I've been accepted, am I supposed to let the school know that I no longer want to be on that waitlist? or do I wait because i'm only on the waitlist and did not get a direct offer? I know that based on traffic rules for dental schools we have to let the schools know and finalize our decision but since i'm waitlisted does that count ?

Thank you 🙂

If you know for sure that you are attending the school you were accepted to (congrats!!) and are not considering the school youre waitlsited for, I would definitely tell them to remove you from the waitlist! It will only help other students on the list that want to go to that school

Yup! Just send an email to Admissions saying you would like to withdraw your application from further review. You may or may not add that you’ve been accepted elsewhere, thats up to you! & they’ll be sure to respond back to you quickly and update the AADSAS portal to Withdrew before Further Action

Yes, as soon as possible and in as professional a way as possible. Congratulations! Help those others on that waitlist get closer to an offer they desire.
