Do your exams usually all fall on the same week?

If your courses have more than just a midterm and a final, does it seem like (at least for me) that all the exams fall on the same week! I mean I had a Biochemistry exam on friday, a history exam the following monday that week, an anatomy exam and lab quiz on wed and a histology exam on thursday. I was determined to do well on the histology exam but all these prior exams made it difficult. Am I the only one?

Same with me. All my tests are usually open the same days in the testing center. However I think it motivates me to study more and harder

no you are not the only one, i have a organic chem exam and a bio exam coming together to but you know what. the only thing you can really do is to study on time (early) and make sure you don't cramp eveything together. that is going to make you really Frustrated trying to study eveything all at once and wanting to get A's in all the classes...... Life is hard but you have to do something to make it better.....

Get used to it, in dental school you may have 5+ exams in a week coupled with lab requirements...there will always be tests, always.

What he said.

Think of it as training. It may suck now, but your ability to deal with stress and manage time is HUGE once you start school.

Trust me im used to it! Im a senior but I was wondering what other schools are like with exams

For science classes at my school, there are usually two or three "midterms" (read: exams) plus a final. Then there are papers from other classes thrown in there. So for the most part, stuff falls around the same time, or is an endless stream of exams/papers. Depending on what class combo you have in a semester, you can get both flavors of fun throughout your college experience.

I've sort of had both sides of the coin...
This semester I'm also going through the problem of having exams all at the same time... During the actual 'midterm' season (middle of the semester when you have to take "normal/non-science" class midterms that actually do ONE *gasp* midterm instead of 3-4 like sciences) I took 5 exams in a span of week and half... I believe I took one each day for 3 days one of the weeks.. And then I had like 2.5 weeks off with nothing and now I have 3 tests coming up in the next week...

But then last semester I got stuck with having a midterm/exam EVERY WEEK starting from 3rd week of school to the last... that wasn't too much fun either but I think it was less stressful and I felt like I could actually prepare/learn the material...

mine usually do. we call them hell weeks at school. it happens because if more than one of your classes has 4 exams, if they all want to space them evenly throughout the term... they land in the same week. it definitely sucks.

While I've had exams pretty much every week here at UCSF, next week is going to be my first week that we've had two in the same week. Aside from finals, I really hope things stay like this.
