So if you have a question you go see your doctor and if your doctor has a question... where does he go? Is there anywhere I could get a good recommendation of some of the best reference books for doctors? I would imagine they would contain a set on drugs, diseases, medical complications, procedures etc. Does such exist? Is there a place online that is comparable? Do doctors use a desk reference?

uptodateonline.com

you can also try accessmedicine.com and for drugs pdr.net. theyre all downloadable if you have a pda.

theyre pretty expensive for personal use (whether or not you have ur md degree) if you dont work w/i a hospital setting.

Are you asking to try and prepare yourself for med school, or are you trying to look up something specific?

My BA is Clinical Lab Science, I am not yet into the program but once I am, many of the references used by doctors could also be used by someone with my degree.
