Does a Nursing research position count as research experience?

Does a Nurse Research Coordinator position count as research experience. I'm considering various job offers. I don't have any research experience so i was thinking this may work in my favor, but i'm not sure since i've never worked as a research nurse. This question is probably directed to the Nurse turn MDs and or the Adcoms. The position pays lower than other offers, soooo is it worth it?

I work with full time research nurses right now. Depends on how involved in the research the position is. In general research pays less, so the lower pay may in fact indicate it is a very research oriented position! 😛
