Does a person who gets their masters in something like physiology or biology have an advantage over people in medschool, or is this just something for people looking for a little more before they go one to med school?

I tried posting this earlier, but it went horribly wrong...

A postbac isn't meant to give you an advantage in med school, it is meant to give you something on your app to help you get into med school. Postbacs are important if you don't have the grades to get in, or if your background is lacking in sciences, or if you took sciences many years back. (A masters is not technically a "postbac" as it constitutes graduate study, while postbac studies get factored in with undergrad in determining cum GPA on AMCAS). Sure, there is some advantage to seeing courses like anatomy or biochem the second time around in med school. But in general, med schools will teach you everything you need to know once there, it is harder to fail out of med school than to get into med school, lots of med schools are P/F, and your board scores have a greater impact on your residency than your med school grades.
