Does a rec from my Bio Psych professor count as "science"?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
If you list the class as a biology course then most certainly.

Well it's technically a PSY course as listed by my university...

This may be a dumb question, but what do you mean by listing it as a biology course? I have not seen that option anywhere in the "Course Work" section of the AMCAS.

I ask because I do not want to send a bio psych rec as a science faculty rec and a school not accept it as one and either delay or DQ my application

Course classification. Asks you whenever you add a course.

Oh yeah, I understand now.

So even though the AMCAS guide book lists psychology under Behavioral Sciences, do you think a bio psych course would be considered a biology course as well?

And thanks so much for your replies!

I'm listing my biological psychology class as as a biology class

Depends on the school. I called some schools and they said yes.

Does a letter from a scientist count if he or she happens to work in an engineering department?

All my letters are from engineering people.
