Im a canadian applicant so Im a little confused....if you get an interview before Dec 1st, does that mean that all applicants whose interviews are before Dec 1st get reviewed at the same time for a decision by Dec 1st for all those applicants? After Dec 1st the rolling admission would then start???

Thanks for the clarification!

Not necessarily, every school does it differently. The general consensus is that most schools give out enough acceptances on Dec 1st to fill about 65% of their seats, knowing that many will turn down the acceptance due to multiple acceptances, etc, and then go into a new cycle of acceptances once they get responses back from the Dec 1st offers, say 3-5 weeks after that.

Some schools do like doing half of their class before Dec 1, and half after, like Pitt, they try to do 40 from Pre-December interviews, and 40 from post-December interviews.

Hope that helps!
