I am working on an update letter to schools that accept them. Do I need to explain why I have a continued interest in their school? This just seems like a waste of space since they know I am interested in their school and it's most likely mentioned somewhere in the secondary so why should I repeat it.

I was planning on just starting off with something like "I am writing to inform you of my continued interest and of my new activities in the past few months...." then just talk about my activities.

Also, do I need to talk about what I'm learning from these activities and such, or can it just be more like "I'm doing A, B, C, and D." If I do this my letter is about half a page.

Thanks!

If you've already articulated your reasons for interest in a given school in a Secondary, there's no reason to reiterate them.

Your suggested format sounds fine. No need to include what you've learned or impact from a given activity in this setting. And a succinct, to-the-point letter, as you've planned, is always appreciated.
