Rather than accept bottom of the barrel applicants the Army would rather leave slots unfilled than start people who probably won’t pan out wellIs there a reason why it says on the handbook that there are 13 OMS slots, but only 9 of them were filled? They even have an alternate even though there should be extra spots open?
Are these residents going to commission upon acceptance? Retention has become a very serious problem and is likely the reason they decided to accept civilians and take on 2 extra perio residents. The military has opened their application and residency training for OMS to civilian applicants as well through ADEA PASS
