Does anyone have any experience with MMI (Multiple Mini Interviews)?

I have an interview next week at UW and they started implementing this interview method this year and I'm kinda freaking out... does anyone have any experience they would mind sharing?

I had one MMI interview at Marquette. I was very nervous but I got worked up for nothing. The beautiful thing about MMI is that you have the chance to redeem yourself if you don't connect with one of your interviewers. You also don't need to go too far in depth with any of your answers because you know a bell is going to go off shortly that will signal for your rotation to another mini interview. As long as you walk up to each interviewer with a smile, firm handshake, and can answer their one or two questions well, you can walk out with confidence.

I read online there could be role playing, and answering bioethics questions? Did you experience any of this?

Yeah, I was asked about some ethical situations but nothing bad. I was asked what I would do in a situation where I observed my classmates cheating and you really just need to answer those questions in a logical way that shows you have good morals. There's not really a right or wrong answer, they just want to see that your thought process can help you arrive at an appropriate conclusion.

I also have an interview at UW later this week. Are any of the questions traditional interview questions, or were they all situational questions with prompts?

How did you prepare for the MMI beforehand? I know the university I attend provides a mock MMI for pre-med students but that was in August and I recently received an interview that is MMI format so all I know at this point for preparation is reading different prompts online and simulating mock sessions from those with someone. I have also heard it's helpful to keep up with news in the healthcare field, particularly dentistry? Did they ask you anything in regards to that?

just did today at UNE, really easy. Basically 1-2 questions per interviewer, and there were 6 interviewers. think about it this way, if you screw 1 up, you still have multiple more to do strongly!

How did your interview at UW go if you don't mind me asking? I have one at UW coming up next week as well

I had one at UMich. I looked at a coupe of articles on ASDA and that is pretty much it. They give you all the background information you need, and they stressed over and over again that for most of the questions there is no right or wrong answer. They just want to have a conversation with you on that specific topic. Nothing to stress about!

Exactly. I think MMI is way more fair / unbiased compared to traditional interviewers. You could bomb a station and get away with it being successful on others.
OP, just google about MMI - lots of info out there.
