I'm curious...if yes, how do you think his patients feel about this guy? I read that his residency was in internal medicine.
Pay range and malpractice of top IM docs (especially a celebrity doc) + the hours a doc works= Hell to the no. He hit the jackpot and got into a profession where he can make 100times the money for 100times less the work. He would be a target anyway. That dude is rolling in dough and dont have to put up with patients. So basically, he might love being a doc but that would be kinda dumb to keep practicing.I'm curious...if yes, how do you think his patients feel about this guy? I believe he never completed residency - dropped out first year. So I don't think he was ever licensed to practice and consequently, had any patients.

Not true, completed his internal medicine residency at Ochsner in NOLA. Here's what IMDB has to say:
"As of June 2010, the Medical Board of California lists his medical license (#65869) as "Renewed & Current" (meaning he meets requirements for the practice of medicine in California) until July 31, 2012. He is licensed to practice medicine under his birth name, Kendrick Kang-Joh Jeong."
My bad. I remember reading in an old article (circa Hangover) that he dropped out.
heart stop...and then start up again! happen all the time...

Yeah you just need a year or two, technically. You don't necessarily have to complete a residency in order to obtain your license.
