is it possible to transmit diseases from contacts that were in someone elses eyes if the contacts are placved back into the saline jar they originally came in and then placed in your eyes? i have been unable to find any literature on this subject matter. are there any studies done and if so, can someone point me in the right direction? thanks so much. it is greatly appreciated.

there has been some concern that prions associated with neurodegenerative disease (CJD for example) could be transmitted via ophthalmic instruments. I suppose the same would be possible with CL's. http://bjo.bmjjournals.com/cgi/content/full/87/11/1360
