Does applying for 2007 Cycle automatically withdraw my application at schools where I am waitlisted/alternate list for the 2006 cycle?

I want to reapply in mid-May, retake the DAT by the end of July, but I am still holding out hope for this year. Does anyone have advice?

I don't think it would, but I don't really know.

It seems like your 2007 application and your 2006 application are completely unrelated. Also, how would the school know that you are even applying for the 2007 cycle if they don't even get the application until July when all of their final decisions will have been made already.

No, I had to re-apply this year and it didn't affect the alt. list that I was on for last year.
