Does becoming a licensed dental assistant help in getting into dental school. Would you have an edge over student who were not licensed or it doesn't really come into play?

Does becoming a licensed dental assistant help in getting into dental school. Would you have an edge over student who were not licensed or it doesn't really come into play?

I think it might help you a little bit, it does show special interest and a commitment, also it will definitely give you hands on experience, i would recommend it if you have the time and money.
