Does being complete for a few weeks without an interview or any change in status = rejection?

Interview season has just begun. Give it time.

Nope; it's way early. Hang in there. It's great that you got your application in early.:luck:

Admissions is rolling (for most schools) so people withdraw as the process goes along, opening up more interview spots. People sometimes get interviews many months after they are complete. Interviews are offered b/w now and even up to March for some schools.

um... most of the schools i've applied to haven't even started sending out interview invites yet...

also, if you applied to IU, they don't tell you that you have an interview till 4 weeks before the date... dunno why they thought it made sense to do it that way

so yeah, don't stress out yet.

OMG! I saw this guy who got invited to Umass three days ago but he was only complete two days before I was!! does that mean I've been rejected?!

It is still early in the season. If it makes you feel any better I am applying EDP and I still don't have an interview invite. They said they will notify us Late August/Early September of interview dates.

DKM, can we just give you a rubber stamp or something? It'll save you time!
 Hell, if we just required an extended release Xanax pellet (think something along the lines of Norplant) be implanted in all premeds, it would save even more time!

I'm all about a Haldol mist product...

50/5/2 (Benadryl/Haldol/Ativan) One of my favorite drug cocktails (not for personal use.....)

We mix the Haldol/Ativan/Benadryl combo in a cream for dementia patients.

Asking them if they'd like a nice back-rub is how it gets on. For some reason, the nurses never forget to wear a glove.

duh. the sad thing is that i have had this thought process happen in my head a few times already during the past couple weeks. we all need a xanax. maybe several. and a good nap. and a vacation with drinks with little umbrellas.

It can take MONTHS to hear back. Seriously. Usually, a school will get back to you regarding an interview by about 2 months. It took me about 4 months to get an interview at one school (turns out the admissions office was understaffed). Anyway, I got accepted and am here now. So, if you don't hear within 2 months, I would start to worry a little bit. You can send in supplemental info or a letter of interest or something. But if its been a few weeks, I'd say just give it some more time.

UC Irvine was interviewing in April last cycle. Relax.

This is an invention of mine that I have been trying to get the hospital administrators to allow the emergency department staff to carry.
Sadly, they still stubbornly refuse.

Maybe a petition is in order!

I think for George Washington University, I completed their application in August but didn't get an interview invitation until like March or something. I didn't get accepted, so I don't think that helps so much with your situation. But I certainly don't think they would have still wanted to interview me if they had already rejected me after a few weeks of my application being complete.

It's way early to concede to "rejection". The interview season has barely started. Most places have not even notified their Early Decision Applicants yet. The biggest downside to "uber early" application is that you have longer to "stew" as you wait to hear anything at all.

Most likely scenario: The schools that you applied to have loads of applications that they are just getting around to processing because of staff summer vacations and other administrative issues.

Relax and work on your Plan B that is, what you will do if you don't get accepted. The more elaborate and complete your Plan B, the higher your chances of acceptance and not having to utilize it.
