I'm a post-bacc student without any clinical experience.
I currently take classes in the morning and then work as a full-time personal care aide for my grandmother under the CDPAP Medicaid program.
I have worked around 800+ hours this year.

Does this qualify as clinical experience?

Thank you.
So you get paid for this experience? What does your job entail?

Yes, I am being paid. I am employed by a Home Care Service Agency and the patient I work with is my Grandma. I believe it is funded through Medicaid.

My job entails some medical aspects, such as checking my grandma's blood pressure, making sure she takes the proper medication, and helping her walk.

But there are also household aspects. I cook her meals, clean the home, and do grocery shopping.
I believe this would count and if I was applying I would list this is clinical experience. If this was “I took care of my sick mother for a few months” I would say probably not because you are supposed to be a good son/daughter, but since yours is through a program I would say yes.
