What's your opinions on this? I think COMPLEX has more of a ring to it 👍, COMPLEX doesn't roll off the mouth too well.

Full disclosure, I thought it was COMPLEX until I was corrected on SDN.

Nahhh COMPLEX is the exam given to all pre-meds before they start applying to schools. COMLEX is the higher level test because they drop a P and you have to still rock the exam.

I say rename it to COMTLEX. A T is basically like a half P which makes both parties happy.

where does the P come from? isnt it The Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination

Maybe people assume the name is there to warn you how hard a test is, so the subconsciously change it to COMPLEX. Cuz, come on, we all know that the COMLEX is a very complex test. Just sayin'.

It should be called the "COMLESS". Imo, the AOA should just use the USMLE to test medical knowledge and use the COMLEX (like a shelf exam) to test OMT.

Disclaimer: Wishful thinking above 🙄

What is this blasphemy of which you speak? 🙄
