I got 2 C's in science courses back when I was a noob freshman and I feel like they are really holding back my science GPA. They were both in chemistry course, so as a senior now I picked up a chemistry minor to try and prove some competence in the subject but I feel like it won't be enough. Will a DIY postbacc during gap year be of any help? I am a Current applicant to all MD schools.

Yes it does, according to the small n of SDNers who report to.me their reinvention.
Would you recommend taking gen chem and organic 1 again? I got a C+, but I've gotten better grades in organic 2 and biochem, and I think I'm going to do well in the rest of my chem minor courses.

You pass medical school with C's. Also you can get into medical school with a C here or there.

It means you don't need As to graduate from medical school and be an MD/DO, you just have to pass.

It's a variation of the old joke

Q: "What do you call the guy at the bottom of his med school class?"

A: "Doctor".

Thank you all for explaining. Didn't catch the joke there at first 🙂
