i think it looks aweful - but i still got 2 interview after applying dec 28 - and they called me the drop king

put it this way - half a course load with Bs looks better than a fail

No one really cares. If it is brought up then explain why you dropped it.

It might be a problem if its done consistently. People eventually figure out what they can handle.

Strange that my dropped classes never appear on my transcript. We have a deadline by which we can drop the course, without any penalty or consequence of any sort. Within that time, the course doesn't appear on the transcript.
I wonder if it's the same for other schools.

TAMKAHN AND kinks LAUGH - thinking thank god for canadian schoool

I have a withdrawal. It was never brought up. Withdrawals happen. They'll be looking at the bigger picture. A good record will be obvious, withdrawal or not.

>3 and you start making yourself look bad. Don't worry about it and study for the DAT!

My college actually had that policy as well. We had a 3 week grace period to either drop/add classes and also request letter grades (my school was completely pass/fail with written evaluations and only gave grades if you asked for them)

More W's will look bad but I think where the W's are in the transcript can have an impact. If W's happened early on but there is none in the latter years it could work in his favor.

Oh shut up!
You got away because you are a former hooters girl.😱
I bet you sent them a nice picture of yourself while working there.

Well maybe...Come to think of it all the schools that required a picture I got into...while schools like UNC that never asked for a picture I didn't get in...😱 LOL...j/k Pictures shouldn't have an effect I don't think...I mean they SEE you during the interview anyways....

I had 2 w's. One course was retaken and the other was left a W since I didn't have the prereq for it (it was an advanced math class), I left it as is. No one asked about it, no one seemed to care.

I have total 9 W's no one could beat me.. it should look bad huh?

ok im really confused. I have dropped many classes, because half of them sucked and they were dropped before the drop period ended. Will this all show on my transcript? I never had a "withdrawal"

If they were before the drop period ended then no, they shouldn't be on your transcript.

No, dropped classes don't show up since the class was dropped during the grace period. If you drop that class after the grace period, then yes, it will show up in your transcript as a withdrawal.

I have GPA 3.68 and 9W's i don't have a chance for Dental school?

Your GPA is good, just make sure you do well on the DAT 20+ and you will be fine!

Never said you didn't have a chance. Your grades are nice. You asked if it would look bad and well, simply put, 9 W's isn't going to make you look better than if you didn't have the 9 W's, right?
