Does filing, restocking, etc. count as clinical experience?

I recently interviewed for a volunteer spot at a local pediatricians office. At the interview, they told me I would mostly be helping with filing, paperwork, faxing stuff, and restocking the rooms with medical supplies. What will this experience count for? would it be a clinical experience, or just work? They also said that it may become a paid position if end up getting busier.

LizzyM (an ADCOM who mainly posts in pre-allo) says if you're close enough to smell the patients, it's a clinical experience.

I'd take that with a grain of salt, but I'd personally take the position. Chances are, it will be relevant enough to be clinical experience, but worst case scenario is that you can definitely find some place to talk about it on your application.

I don't think the adcom has a clue then, because those smells can travel pretty damn far...
