Hey everyone,

Last year I took a class called Morality and Medicine, which counted as philosophy credit that focused on several famous medical ethics issues. However, the class was available under a major called history and philosophy of science (HPS), and had the corresponding HPS title.

I was just wondering if this would qualify as a science class. I have the old prof writing me a rec letter, and would be useful to know if this counts. Thanks!

"Science" on the AMCAS app is really "Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Math". This is clearly none of those.

EDIT: Sorry, I thought you were asking if this goes toward sGPA. Letters are more of a grey area, but I personally would still say this is a pretty huge stretch to call a science course.

No worries! But yea I figured it was, I just thought it was worth a try asking.
