Does it affect me negatively to request fee waiver when I am an international applicant?

Due to the delay of work authorization, I am currently unemployed and barely getting by. My parents are both retired and cannot really support me financially. Adcoms, can anyone tell me how you feel about international applicant requesting fee waiver? Does it make you feel like rejecting the applicant since you believe he/she cannot afford if admitted anyway? I have an American cosigner so I plan to take out a loan if admitted but I am not sure if I should include that info or if I should go into even more credit debt and not requesting fee waiver at all.

I think OP more so meant directly requesting fee waivers for supplementary applications from each individual school. If that would leave a sour taste in the mouths of the admissions committees.

I suspect that most schools would grant a secondary fee waiver only to students with FAP or who are URM. Asking if you don't fit those criteria might be a waste of time. You might better spend your time finding a cash gig as a babysitter, housescleaner, dogwalker or informal tutor.

Yes everyone, I am talking about directly requesting waiver from school. I know I am not qualified for AMCAS fee waiver. I'm sorry but what does FAP stand for?

Fee Assistance Program. Among other things, it gives you the AMCAS fee waiver.
