Just wondering, since I was pre-med before so I I volunteered in a Hospital, for couple of month.
I am not sure if I need write it on my personal statement, how much help it will be, and will it actully decrease or increase my chance of getting in the Dental school.

Anyone, what is your take on that?

of course it helps. Shows your commitment to providing service in the healthcare industry, which is pretty important (even if it's not directly related to dentistry)

i think any volunteer experience says something good about the applicant, be it dental or allopathic. it is up to you to include it in your personnal statement; but if you wish to do so, you may very well spin it to your own advantage by, for instance, saying that the volunteer experience was an eye-opener that made you realize that a career in allopathic medicine is not the best match for your character and aspirations....blah blah blah...but you learned about professional behavior in health care settings throug the experience and blah blah blah....
