does it make a difference if the med school has its own hospital?

temple has its own children's hospital (and i want to go into pediatrics)...and its clinical training is done on its own hospital versus other schools that go through affiliated hospitals..

is there any advantage in going to a school that has its own hospital?

It probably makes it a whole lot easier to get experience in different specialities in your pre-clinical years. I think this is extremely important, so that you can go into your clinical years at least having some idea of what you want to do.
