Does it matter what you put if you are biracial?

I was wondering if anyone has any feedback regarding what would be beneficial or not to put as your ethnic background.

Just from looking at some statistics, it still seems that from the ratio of applicants/enrollees, white seems to have the highest percentage, but also the highest volume.

What have been people's experiences with this? If you are biracial, did you put "other" or did you select whatever minority or majority you feel you belong to when you filled out the DAT application/AADSAS/etc.

Thanks for any feedback.

follow what your president did 🙂

joking aside, I think it goes with the race of your father....

BTW, what have you been putting down in your applications up till now? just curious....

good luck

Did you personally apply with the race of your father, or where are you basing this from? I feel like people always forget that our president's half white, too.

I tend to put other, mixed, or select the two races I am if I am given the option, and if not, whatever is more convenient or beneficial, or if it's a survey and I don't really care, I just put the most accessible option.

More feedback is welcomed!

No, I'm not biracial..... and I know our president is half-white 🙂

but a couple of my friends (biracial) from school told me that is how it works - You always choose the race of your father. But I'm no expert in this so please do more research or as you said, use what is more benficial to you.....

Good luck!
